Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome Courtney Smith Maxim Cover Girl Finialist
Hey fam! I am here for a little support. I am a 33 year old mom of two and I did something way out of my comfort zone and totally on a whim! I applied to compete in the Maxim Covergirl Competition. It’s a yearly competition and they only take a select number of women. It’s now at the point of a public vote. I couldn’t believe when I got the notification that I was selected to advance. I have Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome. It has cause me some troubles my whole life. I can thank it for many surgery scars, my hysterectomy, and long nights in the hospital. I can also thank it for the unique freckles on my lips and my love of hospital cafeteria food. 😂 My daughter was just recently diagnosed with Peutz-jeghers and just had her first procedure. She is 5. Now that I have this opportunity, I want to show her that this disorder may effect our lives greatly and it may leave us with scars, but it doesn’t define us and it will NOT hold us back. This may be completely inappropriate and please feel free to tell me if this isn’t the place, but when voting opens up could I post a link here?
